University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign:
C2P2 is an initiative to support leading colleges and universities in developing and marketing carbon offsets as a way to accelerate their progress towards campus carbon neutrality. All schools participating in C2P2 are signatories of one of Second Nature’s Climate Leadership Commitments. This means that the president or chancellor has committed the school to achieving carbon neutrality and taking bold action to address climate change. Projects developed through C2P2 help eligible campuses reach their carbon neutrality goals and interim targets at a faster rate; all revenue from credit sales is reinvested into further emissions reductions projects or activities on campus.
